Bayeux & Bard pairs the Bayeux Tapestry with the verse history Carmen Widonis. It explains my theory that the Bayeux Tapestry was originally embroidered on linen then backed by wool to be a scene-by-scene accompaniement to a verse history not very different than the Carmen Widonis (Guy's song, composed 1067). At 70 metres long and just 0.5 metres high it makes perfect sense. The Tapestry could be easily rolled for secure transport court to court, abbey to abbey. It was then unrolled from one standing display cylinder to another while the bard sang and musicians played. Amazon.co.uk and globally from Amazon.
